Clark County Mosquito Control District was organized in 1982. It controls mosquito populations
within the County through trapping and identification of mosquitoes, responding to complaints,
treating standing water and aerial spraying. The District is governed by a 10-member Board of
Trustees, which has contracted with Clark County for administrative services and management.
The District is funded by property tax revenues collected in the County. The District operated on
a budget of $287,337 in 2006 and has approximately 10 employees.
