melanies new house and retaining wall. on the bottom left is the concrete steps that went into the old manaco beach resort store. in the middle are boulders that have been on lot 1 for 15 to 50 years. the rectangulal metal pieces are old wood stove water heaters that have been smashed flat and were in the old resort cabins. some of the water heaters are still in use as ditch culverts on some manaco beach lots. on the far right is half a barrel of concrete that was probably used as some kind of beach dock, or marine railway support at the old resort. melanie likes shopping at thrift stores also.
my brother phillips dog, samwise, got hit by a car and broke his leg while at manaco beach on february 1, 2003. the below links are from a series of e-mails and webpage links i (louis bloom), sent out about samwise the dogs recovery from his broken leg. also, there are odds and ends manaco beach, camano island pictures. the surgery and other bills for fixing his leg cost around $4,000.00. if we knew it would cost that much, samwise may have have become a three legged dog or gotten a cheap "sleeping" shot. here's a link to sam the dog pictures from saturday february 1, 2003
